June 2007
Greetings in the name of the Lord, I take my God given responsibilities as a minister of the Word of God very seriously. Some of you support us, and some of you are considering the matter. As a result, I feel it is protocol that I keep you informed as to any major changes that take place within the ministry of "Mark & Lynnette Beha: Missionaries to Malawi, Africa". It is because of these facts that I must write this letter. Due to information that has recently been confirmed, Lynnette and I will not be going to the field of Malawi, Africa under Brother Gentry & Victory World Outreach. We will be separating from that ministry based on ecclesiastical differences. Those of you that have heard me preach and have heard my testimony know that I come from a criminal background. I have been blessed with a biblical understanding that demands that I do things decently and in order and to run my race lawfully. Let all things be done decently and in order. (1 Corinthians 14:40) And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (2 Timothy 2:5). I also have a desire to receive a full reward. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but be himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:14-15) Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (2 John 1:8) Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3:11) We all have our differences in biblical understanding and the application of scriptures. However, the Bible is clear that we are to have a good testimony before both God and man. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:22-23). I believe it is because of my background that I must pay closer attention to certain details than most. It is our desire to produce fruit that glorifies God. Those of you that have supported us and entrusted us with God's money have done so believing that I am a new creature in Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17). Because of that I am always aware that it would not take much to throw away the years that God has given me for His glory by doing things in an unscriptural manner. As a result, I am planning a new survey trip in October 2007. I have contacted a veteran missionary in another location in Malawi, and he is willing to help me search out a new location for our own ministry. He has stated that he will help in whatever areas he can. This may however extend our deputation time. I hope that this will in no way interfere with the prayers and support we covet. You should know that the only thing questionable right now is the potential for a radio station, and I should find out about that in the upcoming month. We are committed to pursuing our goals of establishing Independent Bible Believing Baptist Churches, training up national pastors, starting a Bible Institute and working in the prison ministry in Malawi. We have been given the full support of Emmanuel Baptist Bible Church and its entire staff with this decision. If anyone has specific questions, please feel free to contact me at PO Box 184, Martville, NY 13111 or 315-598-2397 (home) or 315-396-8074 (cell). You may also contact Pastor Bryant Lagoe at PO Box 129, Martville, NY 13111 or 315-564-6430. Please continue to pray for me as I seek God's wisdom to be the steward that he would have me to be. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. (1 Corinthians 4:2) Then we can rejoice together at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. (1 Corinthians 3:8-10) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or had. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. (2 Corinthians 5:9-11)
