January 2007

Praise the Lord for the faithful prayers of His saints. We were able to get a Toyota 4
Runner last week. What a blessing. Lord willing, this is the vehicle we will finish our
deputation with and then ship over to Malawi. We really appreciate the prayers of the
faithful. It was Samuel's first trip where he was in his car seat for 10-13 hours at a time
minus pit stops.
The Lord blessed us with two more supporting churches during this last month of
deputation.
We will be leaving for Arizona in January. After that it will be Florida, Ohio, Tennessee,
Kentucky and several other states during February thru April.  In May and June, we will go
from the east coast to the west, across Canada, Washington State and then will need to
fill the time back to Ohio  in August. Please pray for us as that will be the longest road trip
for any of us so far.
I was able to talk with a young man at the end of December about giving his life over to
serving the Lord. He is saved but has backslidden severely. After giving my witness about
the years I lost not living for Christ he kneeled and vowed to serve Christ from here on
out. Praise the Lord for 2nd Chances. He is the God of 2nd Chances.
Lynnette has the honor of being commissioned by our church as a missionary. She will be
under my authority and this should open doors as we try to establish duel citizenship in
Malawi and provide her with more opportunities to serve the Lord. Apparently the IRS
does not consider us a missionary couple unless we are both recognized individually as
such by our sending church. With all the work she does I never considered her anything
less than a missionary but formalities are formalities.
As you may have noticed gas prices are on the rise. We expect our trip next year will cost
in excess of $1,000.00 a month in gas alone. When we are on the road all day we have
no trouble spending over $100.00 and that does not count food or any lodging in
between meetings. Missionaries almost need to be on deputation for a year just to build
up the support level so that they can afford to go on the road full time. God has blessed
us all greatly, so please remember missionaries in your prayers as they endeavor to
please their Saviour.
We ask for prayer for all our supporting churches and those that have not been able to
make a commitment to support us yet.

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect
day.
Proverbs 4:18

Yours in Christ,
