My Testimony:

My wife Shannon and I were not raised in Christian homes. When we met, we were both practicing
witches. We were later married and had a pagan ceremony. We had 2 daughters and were beginning to
teach them "the craft." We were both into drugs, and alcohol. We were both heavy smokers, and reveled
in our sins and our hatred of the hypocrites who called themselves "Christians." We loved to make fun
of, and try to convert Christians, to our dark and evil ways, albeit we didn't realize they were "dark" at
the time. I, myself, was a DJ on a pagan internet radio station, which routinely bashed Christianity, and
encouraged our younger listeners to "evangelize" our religious beliefs in the schools. We praised the
work of J.K. Rowlings (author of the "Harry Potter" series of books and films), the shows "Sabrina The
Teenage Witch", "Charmed", "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Angel," and many other shows that were
sympathetic, if not encouraging to our chosen depravity. We had seances, offered sacrifices (not blood),
and performed rituals (sometimes nude, and in mixed company).
We continued in this lifestyle, and though money was tight, we hosted many "parties" in our modest
home. It was this financial shortcoming that prompted us to seek additional income, which led us to
start an Amway distributorship. On a weekend in the spring of 2001, we went to Philidelphia,
Pennsylvania for a business conference. It was there that we heard a man named Bill Britt, a saved
businessman, give a clear, concise, and "right between the eyes" presentation of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. To be perfectly honest, though we had heard some of the Christian "rhetoric," we had never been
witnessed to. So here we were, in an arena full of business men and women, some 300 miles from home,
and this man was speaking to Shannon and I. Nobody else was there, it was just us, or so it seemed. Mr.
Britt told us of God's love and forgiveness, and how we could have assurance of a home in heaven,
through the finished work and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. When he gave an invitation for
salvation, I made my way down from the balcony of that arena, all the way down to the floor, where
some 60+ other men and women had congregated, and received Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
Shannon prayed and asked the Lord into her life right there from her seat.
Since then, we've been on a journey of growth and praise, striving to be more like Christ, and to reach
the lost in whatever way the Lord presents to us. I covet your prayers brothers and sisters, as we grow
and serve. And most of all, I thank you Lord for saving my soul, and giving me new life, and a purpose!
